Rick Blasdell began his lifelong search for beauty at an early age.
Often retreating to the realm of dream and fantasy, Rick spent
hours secluded in his parent’s basement hideaway, reading Poe
stories, listening to Beatles records, and developing his talent
for drawing.

Fascinated with visual storytelling he enrolled in “art school”
thinking it might be fun to make movies. Influenced by new-found
friends and bleary-eyed with the discovery of Pre-Raphaelite art,
he decided to become an illustrator instead.

After graduation from college Rick began his career in the
commercial art world where he soon found out he had a flair for
designing logos and brochures. A new tool for designers had just
begun its conquest of the creative world at that time, and so Rick
was introduced to the computer. It’s been a love-hate relationship
ever since.

On occasion however, he gets the opportunity to weave the elusive
threads of beauty into his work and produce something of value.
He hopes that someday fate will allow him to continue his search
full-time.
